"I want to create unique films and set up shots that share with the world how I see things. I want to awaken people who are asleep and bring them into another world, a world full of beauty and peace. I am especially interested in cultural issues and the struggle of the human soul. Through my Documentaries & films I hope to help others better understand topics dealing with the psychic realm, faith, unexplainable events, the soul, spirituality, and life after death. About the film (notes)
“Un Mejor Mañana (A Better Tomorrow)" was originally formatted as a 15 minute short, which had its world premier at The 21st International Latino Film Festival of Chicago, Illinois in April, 2005. This documentary is now available as a 60 minute-full feature length film and a 40 minute short film. Look for this documentary at upcoming screening in 2008-2009.
The film was shot on location in Guadalajara & Michoacan, Mexico by Neil Tucker, an internationally recognized ABC news photojournalist & well-known documentary filmmaker/editor; was directed, produced, & edited by John Bonifacio Moreno. The story follows Mexican-American Artist John B. Moreno on a journey into Mexico where he runs into controversy over his religious paintings, in a place where there is a complete separation between the church & state. He must decide whether to change his design or move onto the next project in. This documentary is shot more like a film, with very subtle commentaries, giving the viewer the illusion that they are physically there. The film is a testimony of faith and struggle of the human soul and quest for spiritual truth; the idea that with hope & prayer we can change the world and achieve anything we desire.
